What counts as free?
If you can use it without ever reaching for your wallet, it belongs here. We include web apps, desktop software, and mobile apps. Donation-supported and open source funded software is welcome.
What about software that needs an account?
Requiring an account is fine. What isn't fine is pushing users to upgrade. If the free version nags you to go premium or locks features behind a paywall, it doesn't belong here.
What gets removed?
If a product introduces paywalls, time limits, or starts gating core features behind a paid tier, it will be removed from the list. Free means free — today and tomorrow.
